The Central Florida Chapter of the International Test and Evaluation Association (ITEA) is a professional association, chartered in Orlando as an educationally oriented, not-for-profit, technical society. Test and Evaluation (T&E) professionals use their science and engineering backgrounds to make sure the systems we all buy and the systems that protect all of us are safe to use and work as intended.  T&E professionals push systems to the intended limits and beyond.  ITEA Central Florida is proud to provide professional support and education to these professionals and scholarship awards to future T&E professionals.

Membership information

Please consider joining or rejoining ITEA.  Test and Evaluation (T&E) is used in every industry and in every government agency that purchases, designs, produces, or uses systems that must be safe, usable, maintainable, and effective.  In government, T&E is widely used in national defense, homeland security, and driving and aviation safety.

Membership in ITEA allows

  • Automatic membership in the local Central Florida chapter,
  • Four issues per year of The ITEA Journal of Test and Evaluation,
  • Discounted attendance at ITEA workshops and the ITEA Symposium,
  • Educational opportunities in short courses and tutorials at events,
  • Attaining the Certified Test and Evaluation Professional recognition,
  • Building professional connections and recognition, and
  • Opportunities to contribute to our future workforce.

I’ve included a picture of the four quarterly ITEA Journals from 2015; your 2018 and follow-on issues will be delivered to you quarterly at the address you indicate.

The annual membership fee for ITEA is $75 for new or renewing members in the United States and $25 for full-time students.  Attending one event can save you more than the annual membership fee.  As one example, for the International Test and Evaluation Symposium in Oxnard, California in 2018 or in Kauai, Hawaii in 2019, the registration fee for an ITEA member is approximately $150 less than for a nonmember.

Please go to the ITEA membership page (https://itea.org/corporate/) to renew or join ITEA.  Near the bottom of the membership form, you’ll notice a question about who referred you; please indicate “Steve Gordon, Central Florida.”
